Website building, trial and error

 Building a website is tough

Building anything is tough. but that doesn't make it impossible. I have tried and tried and tried to make sense of all the things I can possibly do to making and managing a website as easy and cheap as I can do for the time being.

Which is why I am using sites like Google Sites, Medium, and now Blogger. The reason I am trying to use blogger now is that it seems that blogger works exactly like Ghost. It works by allowing you to build pages and posts. of course, the only issue that I am going to have to face is that I will have the powered by blogger consistently there at the bottom of the page.

I can't complain much now though

I simply can't afford to maintain any other services than what I am using now. trying to maintain a ghost account will cost me 11 dollars which is roughly equivalent to RM50.

and don't get me started on how wix and squarespace charges.

Being a medical student right now running on financial Aid, this is not possible
for me to sustain long term with the shitty economy Malaysia is going through especially with their exchange rate.

the exchange rate issue has also caused me to drop a lot of my other online subscriptions that I used to use for the past 2 years like Craft.  A doc editor app that has superb functionality and design.

Everybody starts from zero somewhere

anyone starting their journey in something always has to start from zero anyhow. And this is going to be my zero. I want to use this platform to be the start of my journey in the online world where I get things going and alongside learn how to code HTML, CSS and Javascript. Once I have mastered those then maybe I can further upgrade my websites and content to be more efficient for the web.

I am considering to use blogger for making my medicine and article content.

I am not sure if it is wise or not but I am thinking of branching out my article section to be done on blogger. the reason being is that I can actually get it to be more SEO-ed kind of and also get it to be looking like an actual blog post for me to express my way of seeing the world.

I kind of want it to work like how I work with medium. Maybe I can just do that and see how things run.

Why do I want to branch out?

it is because using medium is annoying as it is literally using medium's website and "app" to be the logo and the backbone of my articles and it kind of doesn't feel like it is mine. Idk. And also for my current use of google site, it is just that, to edit shit on that web app is annoying and takes a lot of effort to do. It is great but not great at the same time.
